Gearbox trouble? It's nothing to Euan
He was facing a challenge to be ready for the Speyside Rally after transmission failure on the Circuit of Ireland, following which his gearbox had been setn back to Peugeot in Paris, for a rebuild.
Having managed to borrow a gearbox from Jonny Greer in Belfast, Euan’s father Alistair set off at noon on Thursday to collect it.

Hide AdOnly, on installing it, the team found that it was lacking the joint between engine and gearbox.
After some phone calls, Jonny sent the part to Belfast, to be taken on to Stranraer by ferry.
However, the Thorburns were already on their way to Elgin for the upcoming meet.
After a Facebook appeal, rallying fan Ryan Johnstone picked up the vital part off the ferry, and got it to the team at Elgin very early on Saturday morning.
The team had a rush on but managed ton make the rally start with time to spare.
