Driver killed in A68 crash near Soutra Aisle turn-off
That fatal collision took place near the Edinburgh-Darlington road’s Soutra Aisle turn-off north of Lauder at 7pm on Saturday, February 22.
The two cars involved were a northbound Toyota Auris and a Porsche Macan heading south.

Hide AdThe driver of the Toyota Auris, a 57-year-old man yet to be formally identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Ambulance crews lso checked over the 51-year-old man driving the Porsche and his pasenger, a 15-year-old boy, but neither is said to have suffered serious injuries.
Police are now appealing for any witnesses to the accident to get in touch.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to a two-car collision on the A68 in the Soutra area just before 7pm on Saturday, February 22.

Hide Ad“A Toyota Auris travelling north was involved in a collision with a Porsche Macan travelling south.
“Emergency services attended. However. the driver of the Toyota Auris, a 57-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The two occupants of the Porsche Macan, a 51-year-old man and 15-year-old boy, were assessed at the scene by the Scottish Ambulance Service but did not suffer any serious injuries.”
Inquiries are ongoing, and any drivers with dashcam footage of the crash or other potential witnesses are asked to contact officers via 101 and quote incident number 3,718 of February 22.
