Witnesses sought to post office vandalism in Peebles
A group of youths is thought to be behind a vandal attack at Peebles post office in Eastgate.
Two windows were smashed on the evening of last Wednesday, and postmaster Ian Carruthers says closed-circuit television cameras caught a group of nine boys and one girl there at that time.
“Police have been informed, and we’ve been able to give a very good description of the culprit,” he said. “This was purely vandalism, and they’ve made no attempt to break in.”
Police are appealing for witnesses.
