Witness plea after van stolen at West Linton

Police are appealing for help to recover a van reported stolen from near West Linton.

The white Ford Transit van was taken between 8pm on Monday, May 4, and noon the day after from what is described as a rural location on the A702 Edinburgh-Kirkcudbrightshire road close to the village.

A police spokesperson said: “The van has quite a distinctive sun visor fitted above the windscreen and driving lights fitted to the grill.

“We are appealing for anybody who may have any information about the theft to call 101, quoting reference number 1,273 of May 5.

“You can also provide any information anonymously through Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555111.”
