Two men charged in Peebles £4,500 drugs raid

The Scottish Borders Community Action Team carried out a drugs bust at an address in Old Town, Peebles yesterday, and found class A drugs with a street value of £4,500, along with £450 cash.

Two men were also arrested and charged in connection with the supply of class A drugs and a report has been sent to the procurator fiscal.

The officers had received intelligence of suspected drugs supply at the address and executed a Misuse Of Drugs Act warrant.

Sergeant Rachel Campbell of the Scottish Borders Community Action Team urged Borderers to contact police if they believe a crime is being committed.

She said: “We will not tolerate the supply of drugs in our local communities.

“I would encourage anybody with information on the supply of drugs to contact us to highlight their concerns”
