That drug haul was seized by police during a raid at Jack Dawkins’ Peebles home, Selkirk Sheriff Court heard.

A total of 165 grammes of the class-B drug was found in the George Street property after officers executed a search warrant.

Dawkins, 18, pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of cannabis, although defence lawyer Ross Dow insisted he had only been selling the drug to friends.

Sheriff Raymond McMenamin ordered Dawkins to carry out 125 hours’ unpaid work and placed him under supervision for 12 months as an alternative to custody.
