A spokesperson for Kelso Community Council said: “Volunteers spent a lot of time going through a legal process to acquire this land from the council. Broomlands, Edenside, Ednam and Sprouston Primary Schools adopted the trees and were in the process of naming them before lockdown. People who carry out these mindless acts really need to think about it.”
