Hawick 43-year-old accused of raping young child
A Hawick man has been remanded in custody after being accused of historical sex offences.
Ewan Peddie, 43, is charged with the rape of a young child and lewd, indecent and libidinous practices.
He made no plea during a private hearing at Selkirk Sheriff Court, and the case was continued for further examination.
Bail was refused, and Peddie was remanded in custody.
He is due to appear in court again this Friday, December 27.
