Galashiels drink-driver five times limit
A drink-driver caught behind the wheel while more than five times the legal alcohol limit has been banned from the road for 16 months at Selkirk Sheriff Court.
Steven Burns, 33, of Dean Street in Galashiels, pleaded guilty to driving with a breath-alcohol count of 112 microgrammes, the legal limit being 22.
That offence was committed in Balmoral Place in Galashiels on Hogmanay.
In addition to being disqualified from driving, Burns was fined £800.
