It’s the second accident in less than one year at the spot where ongoing road stabilisation works have seen a lane closure in place for almost two years.

A police spokesman said: “Around 4.45pm on Saturday, May 30, police received a report of a road traffic collision involving a lorry and a pickup at Camphouse farm house on the A68, south of Jedburgh.

“An ambulance attended to check the drivers over and one man was treated at the scene.

“The road was closed for around four hours. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with an alleged road traffic offence.”
