Couple seriously injured in Ashkirk attempted murder
Two people have been seriously injured in an attempted murder in Ashkirk on Friday.
A 20-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man were both hurt in what is being widely reported on social media as a knife attack in the village, six miles from Selkirk.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Police in Selkirk are investigating the attempted murder of a 19-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman, which took place around 11.30pm on Friday, March 6, in the Ashkirk area.
“Officers are currently following positive lines of enquiry.”
