The Portuguese-registered vehicle, a white Pilote model, was taken between Monday, March 23, and Monday, April 13, police were told.

That prompted them to issue an appeal for information earlier on this week in the hope of getting help to establish its whereabouts.

The left-hand-drive van has since turned up, however, so the search has been called off.

A force spokesperson said: “The vehicle has been traced and recovered.

“We’d like to thank the public for their assistance.”

“The camper was parked in the public carpark for a considerable amount of time prior to its theft.
