Borders man fined £200 following bust-up with his wife

An Innerleithen man involved in a bust-up with his wife has been fined £200 at Selkirk Sheriff Court.

Sixty-two-year-old Alan Thomson had previously pleaded guilty to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner at their home in Caddon Court, on January 31.

The court was told Thomson had been of good behaviour during a period of deferred sentence.

As a result Sheriff Peter Paterson said he was able to impose fine with a £10 Victim Surcharge.
