Police have now issued a renewed plea for help to track him down as a previous appeal has failed to help establish his whereabouts.

Inspector Graeme Brockie, of Melrose police station, said: “Andrew has not been in touch with his family for several days now and they are becoming increasingly concerned.

“If he sees this appeal, we would urge him to get in touch.

“We would also ask anyone who may have seen Andrew or know of his whereabouts to get in touch.

“Likewise, anyone with dashcam footage showing which direction he might have gone in should call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1,357 of Sunday, March 1.”

Andrew is described as 6ft 2in tall, with short ginger hair.

When last sighted, he was wearing a grey Nike hoodie, blue jeans and grey Nike trainers.
