Cold-callers warning

Police have received recent reports this morning (Tuesday, March 8) of three males selling fish door-to-door in the Allanton and Chirnside areas. They were driving a white transit van with registration number NA54 TZY and were reportedly using aggressive selling techniques.

Police DO NOT recommend dealing with cold-callers selling goods door-to-door.

The public are advised to report any suspicious vehicles or callers immediately by phoning 101 or 999 in an emergency. Note as much detail as possible including vehicle type, colour, registration number and direction of travel.
