Biker airlifted to hospital after fall on trail
A mountain biker has been taken by helicopter to hospital after a fall on a trail in the Borders.
The incident happened on the 7Stanes red route at Newcastleton at around noon on Monday.
Tweed Valley Mountain Rescue volunteers were called out to help the emergency services at the scene, which included a specialist trauma team.
The full scale of the rider’s injuries is not yet known.
