Berwickshire Hunt donates £5,000 to local children's charities

The Berwickshire Hunt Auction, which was held at Manderston last November by courtesy of Lord Palmer, proved to be a great success in many ways.

The guests certainly enjoyed both the friendly atmosphere, with canapés by Wilde Thyme, and the exciting auction conducted by Cameron Pate of Harrison and Hetherington.

The hard working committee realised their aim of raising enough money to enable it to donate £2,500 to both the Borders Childrens Charity and to an NHS Borders Endowment Fund for Children attending the Wooden Spoon Centre of Achievement at Borders General.

Both charities do a huge amount of work in helping and supporting children throughout the Borders who are in need of assistance in many different ways.
