Last week, we were celebrating 75 years since the Second World War fighting stopped in Europe, so we’ve looked back to see how differently the 50th anniversary was marked...our old photographs show celebrations in the form of children’s games, tea parties and wreath-layings in Stow, as well as a parade of ex-servicemen in Hawick and a host of commemorations around the Edgerston, Glendouglas and Carter Bar area.
