Peebles hospital closed to new admissions
Hay Lodge Hospital in Peebles is turning away new patients and also discouraging visitors from turning up in a bid to bring an outbreak of a suspected stomach bug at the Neidpath Road site under control.
An NHS Borders spokesperson said: “Hay Lodge Hospital is currently closed to admissions as a precaution due to a number of patients experiencing gastrointestinal symptoms.

“The general advice is to stay away from any hospital ward if you or anyone in your family has experienced symptoms of diarrhoea and/or vomiting in the past 48 hours.”
