Police patrolling beauty spots in Borders to check for breaches of Covid-19 lockdown
Officers are visiting scenic locations such as Carter Bar and Leaderfoot Viaduct to check for breaches of UK Government prime minister Boris Johnson’s order that people stay at home except for specified reasons.
No lockdown breaches have been reported so far despite fears that today’s summery weather, with temperatures hitting 16C across the region, might tempt people to flout the rules now in force.
