Store manager Donna Morgan is excited at the move and at the reception the business had received from townsfolk since emerging from lockdown.
She said: “It’s a beautiful old building that was formerly a bank and I think it will lend its presence to us and vice versa. It will be a nice partnership.

"We are keeping the existing shop on for a time before closing it and moving fully into the new premises.
“We’ll still operate seven days a week, all year round, and our product lines will be lot bigger, with a lot more space for furniture and to display new lines.”

The general feeling is that they have waited to support the store when it opens and that is very encouraging. Since we reopened we have been very busy, all the Time and Tide stores have. You can feel the very positive vibe in Peebles High Street now. People are still being respectful and mindful of the rules but thy are coming out and supporting the businesses.”
