Police probe into attempted break-in at chemists in Jedburgh

Raiders made an attempt to break-in at Boots the chemist in Jedburgh High Street in the early hours of last Thursday, it has emerged.

Details of the would-be raid are sketchy but it is believed to have taken place around the same time as a break-in at the high street’s David Thomson and Son clothes shop.

A Boots spokesperson said: “We can confirm that no colleagues, patients or customers were harmed, and the store remains open and trading as normal. We are assisting the police with their investigation.” (PIC:BILL McBURNIE)
