New Berwick office for Borders accountants
The move into a larger 258 square metre premises in the town’s Ramparts Business Park follows last year’s merger with local firm Optimus Accounting Limited.
The business initially expanded into Berwick in 2016. The new office, led by partners Patrick Evans, Mairi Drummond and Mark Thompson, and supported by a number of the firm’s senior managers, has capacity for up to 30 people which would nearly treble its existing team of 12 colleagues.

The firm says it’s made a ‘significant investment’ in upgraded IT systems and infrastructure as part of the move.
Rennie Welch has a long-established reputation as an agricultural accounting and taxation specialist and, in recent years, has also built a strong client base within retail, manufacturing, hotel and catering and service industries.
Its partners also write The Southern Reporter’s Business Brain column, which helps businesses and individuals through the tax minefield.

“It also gives us the space we need to increase our headcount as we target further growth across the local region, on both sides of the border.”
