Neart na Gaoithe (NnG) Offshore Wind Farm is looking for an operations manager to work from its new base in Eyemouth.

Initially working out of Edinburgh, the right candidate for the job will ultimately be based locally, and the successful candidate will lead the O&M (Operations and Maintenance) team in Eyemouth while recruiting the best colleagues to join them. They will also be a community champion for the NnG offshore wind farm in the local area.

Low carbon credentials

NnG, jointly owned by EDF Renewables UK and ESB, will supply enough low carbon electricity for around 375,000* homes, while having a capacity of c. 450 megawatts (MW) of low carbon energy and offsetting over 400,000 tonnes of Co2 emissions each year.

The Operations Manager will help to assemble and lead the team for the wind farm project’s new O&M (operations and maintenance) base, currently under construction at Eyemouth Harbour. When completed, the Eyemouth facility will provide a long-term base for servicing of NnG, which is currently under construction, once the wind farm is fully operational.

The right candidate

The Operations Manager will be qualified and experienced in engineering or business to degree level, with understanding of electrical and/or mechanical engineering principles with proven experience in offshore wind energy.

“We’re looking for people in Eyemouth and the local area to fill this specialist role, one which will contribute directly to the potential of this exciting project, as we support the national drive towards net zero.”

The right candidate must be able to work initially in Edinburgh, then be based in Eyemouth. It’s a full-time role with competitive salary and benefits. The role in detail

The operations manager will lead the O&M team at the site, starting with site setup, working closely with the construction team and getting the site ready for operations.
