As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic people have not been holidaying abroad and putting their energies instead into improving their homes, a trend which has benefitted the business.
David explained: “There has been a lot of bumps along the way but we are still enjoying it. We have been really, really busy recently because folk are not going on holiday, not going out for meals and aren’t generally doing much so they are doing more to their houses and we are flat out at the minute and since we reopened after lockdown. The furniture is made-to-measure for our customers to what they want. It comes to us unfinished and we finish it with different paints and wax.
“We have another shop next door. It’s an antique/accessories shop called Lovely Stuff which has been open seven years. It used to be the Imperial Bar, an old Victorian pub. The two businesses sort of work hand-in-hand.

David, whose business also sells household accessories such as lamps, added: “We would like to thank every one of our valued customers who we’ve had the pleasure of doing business with since October 2020.
“We are now looking forward to the future.”
