Former Jedburgh dental surgery is braced for a change of use

An application has been submitted to Scottish Borders Council for the conversion of the former Crown Lane surgery into a residential property.

The applicant is Ben Williams, c/o Aidan Hume Design Limited in Channel Street in Galashiels.

The property has been on the market with Hawick-based Bannerman Burke Properties Limited for an asking price in the region of £42,000.

It had been run as a successful dental practice for many years and was marketed as an ideal property for a small business start up, such as a hairdresser, beautician or for use as office space, but also “with potential to convert into a holiday home with relevant permissions”.

The property was for sale with most of the former dental surgery’s fixtures and fittings still in place, including the reception desk and sterilising unit.
