This popular musical has enjoyed successes in both London and New York, as well as on the big screen.

The show features music by Cy Coleman and lyrics by Dorothy Fields and includes show standards such as ‘Big Spender’, ‘If They Could See Me Now’ and ‘The Rhythm of Life’.

‘Sweet Charity’ follows the life of Charity Hope Valentine as she tries to make it as a dancer in the seedy showbiz sub-culture of downtown New York.

With an enthusiastic, young production team and principals and chorus both new and not so new, comes the promise of another hit for LAODS.

The show runs from Sunday, March 19 to Saturday, March 25, at the Buccleuch Centre, Langholm. Matinee on Sunday at 2.30pm, then nightly at 7.30pm.

Tickets £10/£8 from 013873 81196 or
