Preview: Royal Scottish Geographical Society talk
The next talk in the Royal Scottish Geographical Society (RSGS) Inspiring People series is coming to Galashiels on Tuesday November 24.
John Pilkington will transport audiences to the Balkan states of the former Yugoslavia as he discusses the differences he found in their people, cultures and politics compared to his last trip to the region in the 1970s. As well as visiting the former Yugoslavian states, Pilkington also travelled to remote villages in Albania and Bulgaria.
Inspiring People talks are open to all and take place each month at 7:30pm in the Heriot Watt University, Scottish Borders Campus, Galashiels, TD1 3HF. More information can be found on the RSGS website, www.rsgs.org.
