The Company remains dedicated to taking dance to parts of the region which would normally have less access to the arts, particularly in live performance.

Eliot Smith, its founder, choreographer and dancer says: “Any venue is suitable for dance performance if the talent and spirit is present and if the audience is involved.”

The 2016 Spring Tour will feature SPACE – a new work created for the Company by internationally-acclaimed choreographer Maggie Boogaart.

The tour also includes a preview of Eliot Smith’s new short work Joie de Vivre, which is dedicated to the people of Paris and stimulated by the tragic events of 2015. It explores the concepts of Liberty, Equality and Fraternity.

The 2016 Spring tour opens at St. Teresa’s Church Hall, Heaton on Saturday February 20, and will visit Berwick upon Tweed’s St. Cuthbert’s Parish Centre on March 5 at 7pm.

Tickets for this performance are £10 (£8 concessions), available from the box office on 07974 582973, or at http://www.eliotsmithcompany.com/
