Cranshaws festival returns for fifth year

Back for its fifth year, the crew behind Audio Soup are delighted to be bringing their festival back to Cranshaws this summer.

Playing this year’s festival will be an eclectic mix of bands and DJs, including the lively and beautiful sounds of The John Langan Band, the riotous ska-rooted charm of Bombskare, the seductive and quirky tales of Rumba De Bodas and the mysterious tunes of The Dark Jones.

The three day event presents a diverse and exciting variety of stages and tents starting with Soup’s main stage with great bands from afternoon to night. Then to the heady choice of the Collider, Boombap and Wub Hut dance tents, or the musical and mischievous treats of the Cackle Tent and the Beatroot Cafe. It’s guarantee to cater for just about every taste!

Audio Soup is a community based festival that brings together a massive crew of people to make the weekend happen, and the focus is on celebrating local talent and energy to create the festivities, emotionally and physically. Last year Cranshaws was the festival site for the first time and the border of East Lothian and the Borders is a stunning location for people from all over to gather.

Audio Soup always welcomes the family, don’t forget that under-12s go free and the specialist kids’ tent will bring back much-loved family favourites from previous years to keep the wee ones entertained. Audio Soup is very proud to support the efforts of local young people in the arts, as well as unsigned acts.

We work closely with many local businesses and suppliers and we bring together talent and ideas from across Scotland and beyond. This year, as always, we will have amazing food vendors on site.

Tickets are on sale from Brown Paper Tickets and from local outlets. The camp site will be open from 12 noon on Friday, July 17 until 5pm on Monday, July 20.

The festival opens at 6pm on Friday and is open 6pm-3am Friday, 8am-3am Saturday and 8am-midnight on Sunday.
