Fundraising for St Abbs Lifeboat continues apace, with the latest event an auction to be held on Saturday, February 13 at Scoutscroft, Coldingham.

Lots going under the hammer include a trip to Venice, a three night stay at the Waldorf Astoria in New York, and a Spitfire flight simulation.

Local firms have been quick to give generously, and their prizes include a family meal at Eyemouth’s Oblo, a surfing lesson at St Vedas Surfing School and fourball games at Duns and Goswick Golf Clubs.

Scottish rugby legend Sean Lineen has very kindly agreed to take control and be the auctioneer for the evening.

Other lots are being added all the time, and so if anyone wants to bid before the evening, hey can by emailing [email protected].

Tickets for the event, which starts at 7pm, are £10, which includes a pie, peas and chips supper, while Andrew Valentine will be providing musical entertainment.
