The Southern has teamed up with Pdf Productions to give away three sets of family tickets for a pig of a performance.

Illyria Theatre Company bring Babe, The Sheep Pig, to Thirlestane Castle on Friday, July 19.

Illyria was the first UK open-air touring company to be granted permission to perform the work of Roald Dahl with the productions of James and the Giant Peach and Fantastic Mr Fox.

The show starts at 6.30pm and tickets (£13.50 adults, £9 children and family £43) can be bought from or The Spotty Dog in Lauder.

To win a family ticket, which admits two adults and two children, answer this question: Illyria Theatre Company was previously granted permission to perform which author’s work?

Send your answer, name, address and phone number by email to or mail Babe Competition, The Southern Reporter, The Hermitage, High Street, Selkirk, TD7 4DA, by Thursday, July 4. Usual Southern rules apply.
