A village hall in the far south of the Borders welcomes the sound of the south of the United States of America on Saturday.
Americana performer Bill Kaman II takes in Teviothead as part of a short UK tour with his band Swampgass, featuring stalwarts of the North Florida music scene Pam and Davis Turner on bass and guitar and Denholm-based multi-instrumentalist Paul Templeman on percussion and lap steel.
Bill has been immersed in musical instruments his entire life.
He was eventually in charge of company KMC looking after leading brands from across the world.
In two decades under his guidance, KMC grew into the USA’s largest manufacturer/distributor of musical instruments. Bill left the organisation that still bears his name to concentrate on his first passion– making music.
Also appearing are Hawick duo The Humble Scribes performing from their forthcoming CD, and Hamilton-based singer songwriter Gary Miller. Tickets are priced at £10 for the gig which starts at 7.30pm.
