A new weekly live music night is launching in Hawick on Monday.
String Theory will take place every Monday at Heart Of Hawick.
Organised by Hawick-based musicians Paul Templeman, David Finnie and Cindy Stirrat, String Theory is a platform for quality local, national and international acoustic music of all genres. Each week will offer a local showcase for up- and-coming songwriters and performers, along with a host act and a main act.
The first event is on Monday (September 22), with 19-year-old Nicky Murray from Glasgow, playing his very own fusion of folk and jazz styles, along with special guests 3D, and a showcase from Sarah Adams.
The international guest line-up includes Texans Rodney Brannigan, Bob Cheevers and Steve James, and New Orleans Blues Diva Eleanor Ellis, as well as locals Scocha, Humble Scribes, and Brillig.
String Theory is admission free for cafe shows, with monthly auditorium shows to be ticketed.
Music in the cafe/bar starts at 7.30pm prompt .
