Clef Club ends eclectic Hawick Live! season

For the last concert of the season Hawick Music Live! welcomes The Galashiels Clef Club, the oldest music-making club in the Borders.

It was started 88 years ago by three amateur musicians and close friends who enjoyed making, and sharing their love of music; the true essence of amateur music making.

The programme will feature some unique blends of instruments: flutes, recorders, a string quartet, two cellos, a jazz guitarist and a harp played by Margaret Knight, not forgetting Jim Letham on piano.

There will be some unique blends of music: Edward Elgar, Charles Wesley, Gaubert, Telemann and Saint-Saëns – a fitting end to the Unique Blends season.

The annual general meeting will precede this concert at 6.15pm.

Tickets £10, students £2. Telephone: 01450 360688, or at Visit Scotland, Box Office, Tower Mill, Hawick.
