Duns provides the romantic setting for the summer art show at one of Scotland’s newest contemporary galleries.

Launched in autumn 2013, the Stone Wall Gallery is a serene space, providing three individually designed gallery spaces and a beautiful walled sculpture garden.

There is work by Scottish artists Michael Clark, Gary Long, Marion Drummond and Sophie McKay Knight, and from further South, Samuel Winterbourn and Robert Greenhalf bring nature to the walls. Swedish ceramic artist Stefan Andersson extends the ceramic offering. Featured artist is much sought-after talent, Claire Beattie, who lives locally and exhibits successfully throughout the country.

A third space is used exclusively to showcase British printmakers. Each exhibition features a new printmaker, with the work of much acclaimed printmaker Jonathan Ashworth in the spotlight for this exhibition.

The Stone Wall Gallery can be found at Cruiksfield, Preston, near Duns (on the B6355 between Preston and Chirnside). The current exhibition runs until June 22.

There will also be a special art trail from August 1-4, with special neighbouring venues open for the long weekend.

The gallery is open daily during exhibitions from 10am-4pm(closed Wednesdays) and by appointment outside exhibition times.
