After last year’s successful inaugural Art @ Ancrum event, organisers have organised another event this weekend, running May 3-5.
This year’s event includes a long weekend of exhibitions, and the odd demonstration, by 26 invited professional artists and makers, in 12 venues throughout the village of Ancrum.
Venues range from the Village Hall, Ancrum Pantry, The Cross Keys pub, artists studios, a stonecarvers workshop and people’s houses.
You can see the work, chat to artists, and support the wealth of local creative talent, which includes paintings, photography, wood, ceramics, jewellery, sculpture & textiles.
As well as all the professional artists and craft makers, there is also going to be an exhibition of work by Ancrum primary pupils, in the meeting room at the village hall. The exhibition is sponsored by A@A.
There will also be a selection of work by various artists who are not taking part in the event itself, but who organisers rate highly. These will be on show at The Cross Keys.
