AMONG the other food and drink events on the programme are Helen McGinn with her book The Knackered Mother’s Wine Club, a great and simple guide on the best wine to choose and which ones to avoid.
Sponsored by Countryside Kitchens, the event will see her at the festival on Saturday, June 15, at 6.15pm. Tickets (£10, £8 conc) can be booked by contacting 0844 357 1060 or visit www.bordersbookfestival.org for online bookings.
And one event sure to prove popular, especially with male festival-goers, will be The Busy Bloke’s Beer Group with Pete Brown.
The beer expert returns to the book festival to talk about why the pub is much more than a shop that sells beer, based around his new book, Shakespeare’s Local.
The event is sponsored by The Scottish Borders Brewery and ticket holders (aged 18 years and over) will be entitled to a free half pint of the Book Festival’s celebratory Bookworm ale, specially brewed for the festival by the brewery.
Pete Brown will be at the Borders Book Festival on Sunday, June 16, at 4.45pm.
Tickets (£10, £8 conc) can be booked by contacting 0844 357 1060 or visit www.bordersbookfestival.org for online bookings.
