Father and son, Nevill and Matt Wilson, are artists having a joint show in February at the Watchtower Gallery in Tweedmouth.
Nevill studied art at Middlesborough, Sheffield and the Royal Academy in London. His work has always reflected his living environment and hints at a kind of contemporary archaeology, the salting down of objects by time and tide, and alludes to the way we live our daily lives.
Entitled Old Stuff, New Stuff, the exhibition comprises original prints, paintings and photographs.
Matt is a recent graduate of Duncan of Jordanstone School of Art in Dundee and has already shown work in galleries around Scotland and in London. His work is based on the ephemeral relationship between man-made objects and structures and the environment in which they are found. His exhibition is titled Prints.
The exhibition runs from February 1-28. For more information, visit the gallery’s website at www.berwickwatchtower.com.
