On Monday, the Pavilion Cinema will show Rio 2 as its autism-friendly screening, which is open to to children and adults with an autism spectrum condition (and any carers and family members) who are all admitted at concession price.
The lights will be left on but low, sound is turned down, adverts and trailers will not be shown and there will be an allowance for increased levels of movement and noise.
Pavilion manager Andrew Poole said: “This performance is open to anyone, but clearly the attraction here is for those who are living with autism who may not feel comfortable attending a regular performance.”
