AN exhibition celebrating plant life, its perseverance and infinite diversity, is at Harestane’s Visitor Centre, near Ancrum.
The exhibition is of work by local artist Anne Rae BA. She said: “Plants have been an integral part of my life since moving from Edinburgh to the Borders in 1991. While I love all plants, there are favourites … generally those that are wild, by nature and appearance, perennial and often useful, such as medicinal plants like comfrey and horsetail.”
“Cyanotype is one of my favourite media. It was devised by Sir John Herschel and is the original blueprint, which is making a comeback.”
The exhibition, until June 21, includes a range of material, from ceramics to cyanotypes, painting and photography.
