Rabbit in the headlines as Scott takes to Stowed Out stage
Scott is taking a breather from Frightened Rabbit’s current tour promoting their latest album, ‘Painting from a Panic Attack’, to play a solo set at Stowed Out.
Scott, who hails from Selkirk, now lives in the US where Frightened Rabbit have enjoyed storming success with their unique brand of warm but melancholic folk-infused rock.

Hide AdStowed Out’s second headliner on the Friday is Scottish folk legend Archie Fisher, who played a key role in the Edinburgh folk scene of the 60s, alongside such luminaries as Barbara Dickson, Bert Jansch and Incredible String Band founder, Mike Heron.
Bringing Archie and Scott together at Stowed Out is no accident. They met while Frightened Rabbit were on a songwriting retreat near Archie’s home at Fountainhall, where together they wrote the Frightened Rabbit song ‘The Work’, a wistful folk ballad about altered perspectives that come with age.
Stowed Out continues on Saturday with a diverse line up of bands and spoken word acts, many with Borders connections, culminating in a performance by Stanley Odd, lauded as Scotland’s foremost indie rap band. Now in its fifth year, Stowed Out punches above its weight in attracting performers of the highest caliber to the Borders.
