Follow the Art Trail for creative discovery

Artists across the region are gearing up for another busy weekend as they open their studios to visitors as part of the Crossing Borders Art Trail.

This year’s Art Trail will take place over the weekend of August 29 to September 1. All venues are open 10am to 5pm

Now in its seventh year, Crossing Borders is an eclectic mix of artists and makers within the Borders who came together to promote the creative talent that exists in the area.

Representing painters and printmakers, ceramic and glass artists, sculptors, photographers and woodworkers, artists working creatively in textiles, jewellery, metal and leather work, this healthy mix guarantees a diversity that is sure to offer something for everyone.

The long weekend of open studios and exhibitions offers visitors an opportunity to meet with the artists and makers, to chat with them about their work and to buy pieces original art. Visitor feedback always highlights meeting the people behind the creations as a vital part of the viewing experience.
