Denholm Drama Group perform 'Apps in the Alps,' written and directed by Steve Smith and, 'Sherlock Holmes and the Aquilla Diamond,' by Sid River and directed by the Group Chair, Jackie Hale.

In, Apps in the Alps, (written and directed by Steve Smith) Princess Marianne, heir to the throne of an alpine microstate, endeavours to find a soul mate via the Internet instead of having her future husband chosen for her by her parents.

The second play, Sherlock Holmes and the Aquilla Diamond, is a send-up of the ‘Sherlock’ genre, written by Sid River and directed by the group chair, Jackie Hale.

The comedy sketch involves a couple (played by Walt Holland and Jackie Hale) having a meal out to celebrate their first anniversary. The male half of the couple is a senior HR officer and treats the hoped for romantic evening as an appraisal interview!

The hard-working backstage crew have, as always, gone the extra mile to create fantastic scenery, sound effects and lighting to enhance the production.

Southdean Hall Committee members and helpers can also be relied upon to pull out all the stops to ensure a delicious meal will be served and an exciting evening’s entertainment is in store for all.

Tickets £12.50 from club members, 01450 860267 or Southdean Hall Facebook.
