The Boy with the Lion Head have been causing a stir in and around the Borders since getting together just two years ago, but now, with the release of ‘Everything is Temporary’ fans can get their hands on the band’s music permanently.

It’s a record that’s very much stamped with the band’s own style, as singer David explains: “We recorded an acoustic EP last year but wanted something that better represented our live sound so we decided to record the best songs from our live set and create this EP.

“We wanted to use it as a tool to represent where we are now musically and give an idea of where we want to go. Rather than make a standard indie-rock record, we’ve tried to add our own kind of ambience to the tracks.

“We draw on a number of influences we love everything from the almost classical Godspeed You! Black Emperor to the Indie Folk Rock of Frightened Rabbit.”

The band have a couple of big gigs coming up to promote the record, playing Bloc+ in Glasgow on August 17 and Electric Circus in Edinburgh the following night. There will also be support from some great Scottish bands, like Esperi and Noah Noah.

The EP can be streamed on Spotify and SoundCloud and purchased at theboywiththelionhead.bandcamp.com

It will also be available on iTunes from August 19.
