Audio Soup has the right mix of ingredients

Over 1,000 revellers will descend on Berwickshire over the weekend of Friday, July 22, to Sunday, July 24, for one of the most diverse music festivals of the summer.

Audio Soup Festival at Cranshaws, near Duns, is now in its sixth year and has become a “must go” event for music lovers of all tastes.

The line-up for the three day event this year is eclectic and features some of the UK’s top acts. Bomskare, who recently featured on National TV on the show Best Part Time Band, will be one of the bands headlining.

The organisers are also ecstatic to be welcoming the famous London-based electric swing duo, The Correspondents. The band featured in The Telegraph’s top 10 Glastonbury festival highlights two years running and featured in Rob de Banks’ Electro Swing Special on BBC Radio 1.

Audio Soup will also feature some 100 other live bands and djs, including the festival circuit favourites Mungos Hi-Fi, Electrikal Sound System and many more over the three days.

Audio Soup music director Louise Hare said: “We started out in a small field with a few local talents and have progressed rapidly ever since.

“We have bolstered our infrastructure to accommodate more bands in our eight music venues which accommodate everything from Ska, HipHop, EDM and Live Music.

“We also focussed a lot this year on bringing in new workshops and other festival highlights to keep festival goers, families and kids busy, including dance classes, bushcraft, kids’ area, yoga, drumming workshops and so much more.

“Look out for our 25ft steel exhibit.”

Food is also a highlighted this year with delights from Scottish French fusion Opsono. Festival stalwarts Mutleys Crepes will also be there as well as Rost, who will be offering up some delicious smoked venison pastrami sliders.

Audio Soup also includes several bars and camping is available. A delicious three day concoction of beautiful artwork, inspiring people, community spirit and of course the mind-blowing acts, all stirred together.
