Tickets on sale for Borders historic sites
As lockdown restrictions continue to ease, the Borders’ famous heritage sites are getting set to lower their drawbridges and tickets are now on sale.
Online booking opened yesterday for the abbeys at Dryburgh, Jedburgh and Melrose, which will reopen on Friday, April 30 from 10am to 4pm, when mainland Scotland moves to Covid-19 protection level three.
New technology is also being implemented as part of Historic Environment Scotland’s new visitor offering, with downloadable maps, family trails, quizzes and quests, music, poetry and personal accounts to tell stories throughout the centuries, and new web app audio tours are rolled out this spring at Jedburgh Abbey and Melrose Abbey.
