After last week’s final action of the season at Shielfield, the Dane said: “I have really enjoyed riding here.

“I always love coming to Berwick, and if you enjoy something it makes everything so much easier.

“I am now really looking forward to 2015 and would love to come back . . . if the club want me.”

Vissing says the year may not have gone the way everyone connected with the club had hoped.

“Some people thought we might have done better than we did, and of course to lose out so early in the play-offs to Edinburgh was a big disappointment.

“But that’s taking nothing away from the fact that I have really enjoyed riding here. All the team have got on well, the fans and the management have been great and all things being equal, I would like to ride here again next season.”
