Club President, Mick Craig, proclaimed his delight at Selkirk being presented with the accolade. He said: “All involved here, at Philiphaugh, are really chuffed to have received this award, as it adds to what has already been a successful season for us.

As well as running two successful reserve sides, ‘A’ and The Stormers, Selkirk RFC were commended for maintaining a strong link with the local high school and Selkirk Youth Club to ensure that the best home-grown talent is coming through the system and into the senior ranks.

Other contributory factors were the running of an extremely successful mini rugby section, Selkirk Rhinos, and the utilisation of the facilities they have available.

As part of their prize, Selkirk receive a 12-month BT Sport subscription and £200 cash. They will also win a table for 10 at the Scottish Rugby Club Awards Dinner on Friday 29 May 2015 and will be on the shortlist for the BT Club of the Year award, to be announced at the dinner.
