Slow-starting Jed give Heriot’s pole position

Heriot’s 21

Jed-Forest 8

HERIOT’S went to the top of RBS Premier B following a convincing victory at a cold and crisp Goldenacre on Saturday.

Following a morning pitch inspection, the surface was judged to be playable, making it one of only four matches to kick off in the Premiership.

First-half tries from former Jed man Jason Hill, Graham Wilson and a penalty try, all converted by Wilson, won the city side the vital league points.

A spirited second half from Jed earned them a penalty for Ewan Scott and a try for Iain Chisholm to cut their deficit.

There were three yellow cards for Jed and one for Heriot’s.
